Petzl Duo LED

I used to be the proud owner of the most annoyingly bright lightning system amongst the lads, but lately have fallen way behind. Martin's got himself a superbright LED based FXion and will probably soon get himself a Kowalski light extension. In response to this I've tried to brighten up my now completely underpowdered and old school petzl helmet. Here's how it used to look:

. Latest addition: an array of little glowing stars on the surface of the helmet (you know the ones teenage girls put in the top of their bedroom ceiling). As the very last resort should everything else fail.

The answer was the addition of a proper LED unit in the duo. While investigating this I came up with the following unanswered questions:

• will and LED unit work with my existing DUO chargeable battery pack? Yes it does. Robocool.
• does the LED replace the Halogen or the Standard bulb? It replaces the Standard bulb which is good.

Installation of the Tech Tonique 5 LED unit was easy. Photos below of the unit:
